The Victorian Titles Office maintains a register of all land dealings in Victoria. Traditionally, this has been done through paper Certificates of Title and Transfers, mortgages and other documents. But our property law team now uses an electronic process that promises to be cheaper, quicker and safer than the current system.

Whilst a fully automated system is planned for the coming years, our legal team is at the forefront of technological change and the system is already available for spouse or de facto transfers of land, probate survivorship applications and caveat lodgements, to name a few commonly used processes. All the transactions are done online, but you as owner of the land will still receive a paper Certificate of Title following the dealing.

Best of all, clients have the ability to choose which system they wish to utilise, as we continue to offer both a paper-based transfer system as well as the new alternative for those who have a preference either way.
