SMSF Matters – April 2019

SMSF News: 17/05/2019

Hello and welcome to another edition of SMSF Matters April 2019.

The 2019 Federal Budget has proven to be a quiet affair for SMSFs and superannuation with the Government choosing to largely leave superannuation policy untouched.

As you would be all well aware since the budget, the Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced the Federal Election will be held on 18th May 2019.

From electric vehicles to negatively-geared properties, the major parties have drawn their election battle lines.

With this lead up to the polls, we thought it would be a good time to summarise the superannuation and taxation policies announced by the major political parties.

Importantly, what each will mean for members of a SMSF plus, a recap of contribution caps as they currently stand.

The team at Mulcahy & Co understand that some of these anticipated changes can be diverse and need specific discussion and review of your circumstances to determine their impact.

We highly recommend you contact our office to discuss any queries you may have.

We hope you enjoy this edition of  SMSF Matters April 2019.
