Rachael started working part time at Mulcahy & Co in 2008 whilst also studying her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at University of Ballarat. Once Rachael completed her degree she began working full time as an accountant specialising in agricultural and agribusiness.
Rachael comes from a farming background, growing up on a farm running livestock and cropping enterprise, therefore she has a passion and first-hand understanding for agricultural enterprises. This passion has driven her to study a bachelor of agribusiness majoring in economics at the University of New England, NSW. Her goal is to be able to use her specialised knowledge to help agricultural clients financially manage their operations and to achieve financial security.
She is currently working with a New Zealand-based company that provides budgeting and forecasting for farmers in all areas of farming. The program, Figured, is designed to help clients evaluate their farm’s financial information to produce management information. Figured works with Xero to produce budget and production information.
When Rachael isn’t working or studying she enjoys spending time on her 20 acres in Smythesdale, riding and showing her horses and going to the snow with friends.
