Responsibilities
If suitable for this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounting and tax assignments from start to finish,
- Preparation and lodgement of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies,
- Tax Planning & dealing with key tax issues,
- Planning and business advisory, including preparation of cashflow budgets,
- Tax compliance work,
- Liaising directly with clients and external bodies (e.g. Australian Taxation Office).
Required Skills
Prior small to medium business and taxation experience in a public practice,
- A university degree in relevant field (accounting, business or similar),
- Experience in a broad range of tax, accounting and business matters,
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks in a highly organised and methodical manner,
- Strong skills in the Microsoft office suite with an emphasis on Excel,
- Experience with Xero, Practice Manager or any other accounting software highly desirable,
- Strong written and verbal communications skills,
